"There’s a frisky dynamic at work in Everything Starts With a Pencil, Zoë Camper’s set of 10 drawings now on view in a hallway of the East Las Vegas Library. True to the exhibit’s title, these are pencil drawings, mostly portraits, plotted on a grid; as with the distantly similar grid paintings of Chuck Close, Camper has filled in the squares such that they add up to an image"
